The Stookerskoor was founded in 1993 on the initiative of a few people from the Nautische Monumenten Foundation. They were involved in the restoration of steam tugboat Y8122.
We are a group of enthusiastic men and women who sing about life aboard ships from the time of sailing and steam sailing and about homesickness and longing for home. In addition, the group is musically supported by accordions, banjo, guitar and bass.
