During Bunker Day, guided tours are also organized at Fort Harssens and Willemsoord.
These tours are only accessible with a reservation.
What should you keep in mind?
Some areas are quite dark (guides carry flashlights), and there are thresholds. Corridors can be narrow and everything is underground. The fort is not accessible for wheelchair users. Children may only join under adult supervision. Fort Harssens is located on military grounds. Access is only possible if you register in advance with your first name, last name, and date of birth.
How do you get there?
The fort is located underneath the harbor office and the Royal Navy Yacht Club at Bevesierweg in Den Helder. More information will be provided upon reservation. It’s important to reserve your spot at least five days before the scheduled tour. Each tour has a maximum capacity of 25 people.
