On May 17, 1950, the Cultural Association Julianadorp Vooruit was founded to enhance the village’s social life.
For 75 years now, “de Cult,” as locals affectionately call it, has organized countless activities such as the Dorperkermis, Sinterklaas parade, Keuvelkeuringen, King’s Day events, and more.
To mark this milestone, Music Association Kunstzin and the Ontmoetingskerk have joined forces to honour the cultural association as a cornerstone of Julianadorp’s community spirit.
On Sunday, May 11, Kunstzin will give a jubilee concert in the Ontmoetingskerk. The church is providing the venue, and Kunstzin brings the musicians. Expect a cheerful, surprising, and varied concert featuring a full orchestra formed by all Kunstzin musicians. Several conductors will take turns leading the ensemble.
As a special surprise, four young talents from Kunstzin’s own training programme will join the orchestra for two pieces.
Since it’s also Mother’s Day, Floratuin Julianadorp will surprise every female visitor with a small gift.
Admission is free, but a collection will be held at the end of the concert. All proceeds will go to the Cultural Association Julianadorp Vooruit to support their many activities.
