Who doesn't know it? The Penguin!

For many years, since 1962, the copper statue has adorned the centre of Den Helder. In addition to the Penguin, other types of animals also adorn the centre. The artist is sculptor Theresia R. van der Pant (Schiedam 1924 - Amsterdam 2013).

A second copy of this statue was made for kindergarten De Dravende Paardjes in Pijnacker.
