DEN HELDER HAS ITS OWN MARITIME ICON

With the Double Bollard (the maritime icon) a logo has been created for Den Helder. The symmetrical H-shape of the double bollard indicates the connection with the sea and shipping. The shape characterizes the no-nonsense, “standing with both feet on the ground” attitude of the tough maritime city and its inhabitants. The embossed texts on the two vertical columns refer to the impressive maritime history of the city. The double bollard with historical quotes was unveiled on 31 August 2018.
