The Waddenzee nature reserve lies from Den Helder in the Netherlands to Esbjerg in Denmark. This nature reserve is an Eldorado for fishermen, nature seekers, birds and all kinds of plants.
Many birds use this area to forage for food and as a rest and rest area. Many birds fly 5000 km from Africa and Canada to this area in the spring to recuperate and then fly 5000 km on to their breeding areas with a full belly. In the autumn, the birds fly the opposite route and return to the Wadden to recuperate and rest. Fully strengthened, they then fly back to their winter homes in Spain, Portugal and Africa.
